As with other "fairy tale" type books, it took me a while to realize that this is a Cinderella story! Bella is the Cinderella in this story. She is abandoned by her father after the death of her mother. Bella is raised by a woman who was also the "babysitter" for the youngest prince of kingdom. As the two grow older, they of course part ways, and Bella's life takes a turn for the worse.
The middle of this book got a bit confusing.... the narrator switches around - a bit too much - but it all comes together in the end... or near the end. (Oooo... that was a bad sentence!)
This book has it all: adventure, romance, mystery and intrigue. Best of all, if you think you know the Cinderella story, this particular title will still have some surprises for you. This is one you will LOVE!
