We Regret to Inform You

Mischa has worked soooo hard to appear like the perfect high school student. Her family has had to make extreme sacrifices to send her to a elite high school. She has earned her way to the college of her choice.... she thinks. Everyone at her school is sitting back and watching the offers roll in from Yale, Harvard, Stanford and the like. But Mischa gets nothing. NOTHING. Even the community college that she considers a last resort rejects her.

So this turns into a bit of a mystery. How could this happen?
