This is the FIRST new book in the Ridgeline High School Library. It was given to me as a "library warming" from another librarian. Sweet, right? The librarian that gifted it to me thought it was a romance based on the cover, the title, and even the description she had read online. Anyway... it is not a romance.
I hate to give too much away here... ummm.... It is about twin sisters that were born holding hands. The doctor had to "untwine" their hands in order to deliver the second twin. But this book is about another untwining. The writing here is truly beautiful. Much of the "action" is actually memory. The author masterfully builds the story of these twins through these memories.
Untwine is sweet and certainly sad. But in the end, you are not left with sadness... except the sadness that it is over.
